Penza, 11 February 2016. PenzaNews. Nearly 200 million rubles of budget money has been embezzled through transfers to shell corporations and subsequent cashout during the construction of the Penza perinatal center, announced the prosecutor of the Penza region, State Judicial Counsellor 2nd Class Natalya Kantserova during the extended meeting of the body held on Thursday, February 11.

She pointed out that the crime damaged not only the budget, but the subcontractors who did not receive the money for their work.

According to Natalya Kantserova, the current state of affairs was driven by several factors, including insufficient control over the perinatal center construction process.

Based on information published on the website of the Penza region prosecutor’s office, the situation with the construction process is currently on constant monitoring by the state body in question.
